About Us
Pathfinders aim to work in partnership with young people, local authorities, families and agencies to:
- Provide a high quality support service to young people
- Provide a safe environment for young people to develop the skills necessary for living independently
- Help young people make the transition to independence in a planned and supportive way
Our staff are well trained to assist young people to gain life skills, confidence building and raising self-esteem; through individual support sessions, house activities, and group work.
Our objective is to provide a holistic approach to working with young people and responding to their expressed needs. Services are needs led, innovative and flexible. It is imperative that all assessments and care plans, pathway plans are based on collaboration between the young person, family, and or relevant agencies involved. Our work promotes respect for all our young people and we also recognise and celebrate the diversity of our residents.
Our support and care services for young people are child focused. We aim to promote greater independent living for all our young people by providing young people with practical life skills, semi-independent skills and support towards greater independent living.
We value promoting young people’s rights and dignity. We endeavour to build trust relationship between young people and staff. Pathfinders is committed to safeguarding and promoting the interest and wellbeing of children and young people.At Pathfinders, our experienced Support Worker, Social Workers and therapeutic practitioners will always place young people’s interest needs above organisational interest. We believe in providing be spoke support and care for all our young people in line with their identified needs as indicated in their needs assessments, care plans, placement plans and pathway plans.
We are committed in working in partnership with Local Authorities, professionals in attending safeguarding and strategy meetings to share information and to be part of formulating safeguarding plans and actions to protect the young people in our care. At Pathfinders, we have expertise in working with and providing support for young people who are gang affiliated, children who are at risk of CSE, young people who may have learning difficulties as well as young people who may have mental health issues requiring therapeutic support to move them on to greater independence living.
At Pathfinders, we believe in training our staff to provide professional and excellent care for our young people. We also believe in providing young people with safe, maturing and family environment to help young people to meet their holistic needs. We pride ourselves in believing that young people can achieve their full potential when they are provided with the right support and environment. That is why our placements are well suited and customised to meet young people’s needs.
Our Mission
Young people safety is paramount in what we do at Pathfinders. We ensure that we have updated Gas and Electricity Safety checks for all our placements. We also ensure that we have an updated HMO certification. The young people’s bedroom are all furnished. We also have relevant insurance policies in place to mitigate any damages caused by young people.
At Pathfinders, we operate a 24/7 staffed placement with CCTV facilities to ensure the safety of our young people, staff and members of the general public. All our staff have updated Enhanced Disclosure and they have completed relevant safeguarding trainings to inform their practice.
We have well trained and experienced staff who are always enthusiastic to work in partnership with professionals to meet the needs of our young people.
Our Programs
Our Head Office is the central hub for our operations with up to standard computer facilities and infrastructure to support our operations. We adhere to safeguarding principles and we ensure that young people information and records are kept secured under lock and key and only shared with relevant agencies on need to know basis and only in the interest of safeguarding children and young people in our care. We deliver excellent professional support and Social Work services to young people. We believe in training our staff to provide excellent support to young people.
